LISBON : Cristiano Ronaldo was included in the starting line-up for Portugal’s opening Euro 2024 qualifier against Liechtenstein on Thursday and will set a new record for the most men’s international caps.
Ronaldo, who turned 38 last month, wins his 197th cap, surpassing Kuwait’s Bader Al-Mutawa who made 196 international appearances.
Ronaldo, who made his Portugal debut in 2003, also holds the world record for the most goals in men’s international football with 118.
